Professional saddle fitter

As riders, horsemen, and competitors, we are all looking to maximize our horses’ performance, and we approach our horses as high-performance athletes now more than ever.

THE APPOINTMENT

We travel with a broad range of test ride saddles for you to try, allowing you to compare the many different models available.

SADDLE FITTING

Fitting starts with a static back evaluation, and tracings followed by mounted saddle and gait assessment. Appointment time is generally 1.5 hours and includes onsite flocking adjustments.

TRIAL SADDLES

Test rides are available for a 7 day trial period and customer is responsible for shipping, however, an appointment where Patty's able to view and analyze the riders balance in the saddle is ideal.

"Eurotrees – 10 year guarantee We use only the best quality British wood laminated Spring Trees which are speci cally calibrated via our cad-system at our sister company Eurotrees headed up by Managing Partner Pete Dutton. Each tree is crafted to its own speci cation, depending on the pro le requirements of the horse and the design of saddle for which it is destined. All trees come with a 10 year guarantee subject to normal usage against general riding conditions and conform to the latest British Standard BS6635. Our trees are adjustable up to one width tting either way. This alteration can be made at the factory or by an authorised repair agent."

What is the best way to reach you?

Available by phone and by email, however, due to extensive traveling and appointments I prefer to be reached by e-mail.

How far do you travel?

While Patty Merli Saddles is based in Aiken, South Carolina we travel from Boston to Wellington.

What are your fitting fees?

$150 for fittings.
If saddle is purchased the first adjustment is included in sale price.
Second saddle inclusion is discounted at $75.

Do you offer trials on saddles?

Test rides are available for a 7 day trial period and customer is responsible for shipping.
